Celebrating culture and community at Brampton’s Chutney Festival

Celebrating culture and community at Brampton’s Chutney Festival

Celebrating culture, community, and connection. 🇹🇹🎶

On Friday, I had the pleasure of attending the Chutney Festival here in Brampton — an evening where our community came together to celebrate the rich culture, music, and traditions that make our city so vibrant.

There is something special about standing in a crowd of your neighbours, hearing the music, and feeling how many different stories are gathered in one place. That is Brampton at its best.

It was also a pleasure to meet and take a photo with the Mayor of Brampton while I was there.

Why events like this matter

Events like these remind us of the importance of celebrating our diversity and supporting the cultural communities that make Brampton such a welcoming place to call home.

They are not just entertainment. They are where a community sees itself reflected back — and where residents who too often go unheard get to take up space, share their traditions, and be recognised as part of the fabric of this city.

Showing up matters. Not once, and not only at election time.

My commitment

As I continue my campaign for Brampton City Council — Wards 9 & 10, I remain committed to listening to residents, supporting community events, and ensuring every voice is represented.

Representation matters. Together, we can build a stronger, safer, and more inclusive Brampton.
